Getting out and enjoying the beautiful Bay Area, as well as enjoying the company of friends old and new, is great for your mental health. Breakaway Festival

Welcome to Breakaway Bay Area - Halloween Weekend 2024, presented by CELSIUS! Two days of music, activities, and much more! 

The Breakaway Music Festival began in Columbus, OH, in 2013 and quickly grew into a two-day, multiple-stage festival bringing exceptional names like Chance The Rapper and Kendrick Lamar to the Midwest. With several market expansions over the years, the multi-city festival has amassed a loyal following with over 60,000 in attendance in 2021 in Ohio, North Carolina, and Michigan.


 

Friday Nights at OMCA

Reconnect with family, friends, and community during Friday Nights at OMCA. These free events provide a gathering place each week, including live music, hands-on activities, Off the Grid (OTG) food trucks, and late-night access to our galleries and special exhibitions with a Museum ticket. Limited flat rate parking for Friday Nights is available in the OMCA Garage for $10.


Friday Nights at OMCA are back and ready to kick off the season in style on April 5, 2024.


Gather with family, friends, and community every Friday at 5 pm for free live music and hands-on activities, Off the Grid food trucks, and late night access to our galleries and special exhibitions, with a Museum ticket.


Bring your own or grab dinner from any one of the 8 Off the Grid food trucks on 10th Street between Oak and Fallon Streets. Beer, wine, mixed and non-alcoholic drinks are available for sale. After grabbing a meal from a wide and weekly changing menu of culinary creations, head to the OMCA Garden where you’ll find picnic tables and blankets to enjoy your local eats. Play lawn and table games, enjoy weekly rotating Museum programming, and create new memories at one of the Town’s most treasured spaces right in the heart of Oakland.


 

Saturday, October 26th

 

Sandcastle Classic Contest

Ocean Beach, San Francisco

All Weekend, Ages: All

Free


Teams of architects, engineers, contractors, designers, corporations, and local elementary school students work together to build giant sand sculptures. The funds raised by teams and sponsors make it possible for Leap to continue to provide arts programs to Bay Area students.

8:00 AM – 10:00 AM Teams arrive, Check-in and head to assigned beach site

10:00 AM – Teams may begin to prep their sites

11:00 AM – Sandcastle Building begins with live DJ onstage!

11:45 AM – Castle Introductions by student representatives from each team

 Description


 Unlock a new season of dark secrets at a sinister open-world cocktail party inside the mysterious Volkov Manor. In 1950, Doctors Grigor and Natalia Volkov ran Volkov Manor, a psychiatric facility where patients lived and received treatment. After Natalia's tragic death during childbirth, a series of hauntings led to the mysterious deaths of everyone in the manor, including Grigor. You will have 2 hours to savor a miniature flight of craft cocktails and get immersed in the chilling lore. Loosely based on spooky real-life inspirations—including the final days of Grigori Rasputin, the ancient god Veles, and other Slavic folktales—the eerie affairs waiting inside Volkov Manor are sure to thrill and terrify. Cheaper Than Therapy Comedy Festival

Cheaper Than Therapy offers a healthy dose of live stand-up comedy every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, year-round. Located in San Francisco's historic Shelton Theater in the heart of Union Square, Cheaper Than Therapy is convenient to get to, whether you live in the Bay Area or are just visiting.

About the show


Each show features five to six hand-picked, experienced comedians and an occasional guest drop-in.


Please arrive at the theater by 7:45pm to check in with the box office. The bar opens at 7pm, and the show starts at 8pm. Last seating is at 8:20pm.


The theater has a full bar with no drink minimum. Come early for craft drinks and great seats!


The show always ends by 9:30pm. For a list of restaurant recommendations in the area, please visit our website.


We encourage everyone 21+ to party with us at the Shelton Theater bar.

Is there an age requirement?

The show is for mature audience members of 18+ only.

Is there a drink minimum?

No, there is no drink minimum.

What if I'm late?

This is a live show, and we want everyone to have a great time. As a courtesy to the performers and audience, we will not seat those who arrive after 8:20pm. If you are unable to make it by this time, please let us know. We would be happy to transfer your tickets to a future date.

Is there parking available?

There is no parking at the theater, but there are many public parking garages close by. See your options on Parkopedia.

If the event is sold out, will you have tickets at the door?

We often sell out, so please buy your tickets in advance. If the event is sold out online, we will not have any extra tickets to sell at the door. In that case, please get tickets to the next show!

If I can't make it to the show anymore, will the fees be refunded?

Unfortunately, Eventbrite does not refund any fees, so only the base ticket price is refunded. However, we're happy to transfer your tickets to a future show of your choice instead. Just email us at info@cttcomedy.com let us know that you can no longer make it and want to transfer your tickets. Once you've decided on a date that works better for you, email us again at least 48 hours in advance of the show, and we'll confirm your tickets.
