San Francisco Carnaval

San Francisco

All Weekend, Ages: All

Free

Now in its fourth decade of celebration, Carnaval San Francisco has been an opportunity for many cultures to come together in one spirit to share their creative expressions.

Come celebrate with us at our FREE 2–day family festival & Grand Parade in San Francisco’s Mission District where we will showcase the very best Latin American and Caribbean cultural arts and traditions.

Carnaval San Francisco is the largest multi–cultural celebration on the West Coast.

The Carnaval San Francisco theme for 2024 is “Honor Indigenous Roots.” The idea of honoring indigenous heritage has always been part of our Carnaval culture. For example, every Carnaval parade is started with a blessing ceremony from local Aztec dancers, complete with the burning of copal incense to spiritually cleanse the community, accompanied by traditional drumming and dance. This ceremony is rooted in pre-Columbian practices that still have relevance today.

TreasureFest Treasure Island

Treasure Island, San Francisco

All Weekend, Ages: All

$20

In May of 2011, Angie & Charles Ansanelli launched the first-ever TreasureFest as a space to draw the community together and provide a platform for local creators and brands. The monthly, two-day, open-air market drew one-of-a-kind indie designers, artists, craft makers, local eateries, musicians, and thousands of shoppers...even dogs. Taking place at Treasure Island, it provided the community with good food, great vibes, and epic views. The market quickly became a beloved event in the Bay Area.

Whether young or old, there's something for everyone at TreasureFest! Fun activities for the kids and exciting experiences for the adults, so bring your family along!

Your well-behaved furry friends are welcome to join the fun! Our festival is a dog-friendly environment so you are welcome to bring your pet along! We only kindly ask that you clean up after your pets!
