Downtown Alameda Whiskey Stroll - March 4, 2022

It’s back! Sip and stroll your way through our historic downtown district tasting premium craft whiskeys paired with yummy bites. Enjoy an evening filled with food, drink, and entertainment while learning about the unique styles of Northern California distillers and local chefs.

Tickets include a collectible tasting glass, premium whiskey tastings at unique downtown locations, yummy bites at each location prepared by local chefs, commemorative guide, and exclusive offers.

Don’t wait… ticket prices increase as we get closer to the event! A limited number of Early Bird Tickets are available for $45. After that, tickets increase to $55 until Feb. 27, and then are $65 the week of the event ( if not already sold out). A limited number of Designated Driver tickets are also available.

MEETING POINT: Meet *OUTSIDE* 498 Broadway St (on the NORTHEAST CORNER of Broadway & Kearny St). Look for the pink "Murder Mystery Meeting Point" Sign. We do NOT stay here or go inside - it is only a check in point. At 7:45PM SHARP, we will leave for the first stop. You *must* check in between 7:30PM and 7:45PM if you are planning to attend - please do not try and join us mid-way into the event as you will be turned away.


Solve the murder case as we head to 3 places for food, dessert and drinks. Win murder mystery clues along the way by competing at rock paper scissors and other games against fellow detectives. Come up with the most creative/funny murder motive and win a prize! Enjoy cheap food/dessert/beer/wine/spirits/shots along the way!


**COVID INFO**: We will mostly be OUTDOORS with the option to go inside. We will have outside sections reserved for our group, so DRESS WARM! If you would like to go INSIDE any of the places, be sure to bring your proof of VACCINATION – it will be checked at the starting point along with your ID (NOTE: You must be age 21 and over to attend and you must bring a VALID ID ie: NO EXPIRED IDs). Please be sure to WEAR A MASK at CHECK IN.

Steps of Freedom, a spectacular performance-based documentary, follows the evolution of Irish dance from humble origins to present-day global phenomenon which sees weekly Irish dance classes held in more than 60 countries around the globe, millions attending theatre shows and more watching programmes on TV. This broad-ranging documentary features striking performances from the finest dancers of their generation, rare archive film, and stunning contemporary footage from Ireland, Britain and the USA. It explores how the cadences and styles of Irish dance were affected by a range of historical influences – both Irish and international and references an eclectic line up of expected and unexpected characters including Jean Butler, Michael Flatley, Beyonce, Missy Elliot, Gene Kelly, James Cagney, Shirley Temple, and Queen Elizabeth.

Celebrate Fat Tuesday and Our Cultural Community at The Crossing’s Mardi Gras Festival and Marketplace from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 6!

Sunday’s jazzy celebration will bring New Orleans to San Francisco with samba dancers, a stilt walker and live entertainment, including a brass band playing French Quarter-inspired music.

Delicious multicultural food offerings will be provided by Gumbo Social, Yes Pudding, Sam's Gourmet Jams, KAYMA’s Algerian food, and The Geez Freeze. The family-friendly Crossing Beer Garden will serve drink specials from Monarch Beverage Catering. Children can enjoy a colorful arts and crafts station, and everyone is invited to wear vibrant costumes, masks (not the Covid kind) and beads in celebration of the holiday.
