Friday, April 19th
Japantown, San Francisco

The Japantown neighborhood comes to life in the spring when the cherry blossoms start to bloom. This is also when more than 200,000 people flock to this little district for the annual Cherry Blossom Festival.
The San Francisco Cherry Blossom Festival started in 1967. Since then, it's grown to be one of the largest cherry blossom festivals in the US.
The 2024 festival will be held on two weekends, April 13 - 14 and April 20 - 21.
This celebration includes traditional music, dance, and other cultural activities.
During the festival, you can sample a variety of Japanese and Japanese-American culinary treats. These include popular dishes such as fresh sushi, tempura, and chicken or beef teriyaki.
There is also a wonderful parade on the afternoon of Sunday, April 21. It starts at 1 pm at the Civic Center Plaza and ends at Japantown near Post and Fillmore Streets.

Fridays are always a great time to go roller skating. This is a session where kids and families skate along with anyone that's in the mode to get their skate groove on early!!! Please skate safely. All participants must please follow the direction of the rink personnel.
Skate Rental are available for $5.00, but not included with the purchase of your ticket.
NO REFUNDS!!! Attendees are NOT allowed to transfer their registration between this event and another event. Be sure you are selecting the proper date and time you want to skate.

The Bay Area Brew Fest returns on April 20th to a new venue at the Presidio Lawn overlooking the Bay. The event will feature over 70 breweries, 200 beers, food trucks, lawn games and live music.
Early Admission will be from noon to 4pm and General Admission will be from 1pm to 4pm. Both options include unlimited samples, with early admission attendees having access from noon to 1pm with limited release offerings.
Tickets are non refundable and the event is rain or shine.
Montclair Village, Oakland

Montclair Village Art Walk is in its 47th year and celebrates art in the outdoors when more than 50 artists from the Bay Area and beyond will be displaying their wares along the sidewalks and against the scenic backdrop of Montclair Village and the Oakland Hills. Presented by the Montclair Village Association, this free event is set to take place Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Enjoy this open-air art gallery and shop for gifts for yourself, someone special or for your office collection. Visit on Sunday and in addition to leaving with new art treasures, take home fresh produce and delectables from La Salle’s wonderful farmer’s market stalls from 9am-1pm.

The beloved Golden Gate Park Bandshell concerts are back for 2024 with a packed schedule of live music. Illuminate LIVE recently announced their most recent lineup, with performances starting on March 1. These weekly free and family-friendly concerts are some of the most beloved events in the park. Catch over 100 performances in a variety of genres, including R&B, soul, jazz, funk, big band, strings, indie, rock, reggae, salsa, electronic, and EDM, and scroll down for the latest lineup announcement.
The highly-anticipated series comes to us courtesy of Illuminate and SF Rec & Parks. The Bandshell, which is 120 years old, added new lighting, a state-of-the-art sound system, and a new stage during the pandemic.

Cheaper Than Therapy offers a healthy dose of live stand-up comedy every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, year-round. Located in San Francisco's historic Shelton Theater in the heart of Union Square, Cheaper Than Therapy is convenient to get to, whether you live in the Bay Area or are just visiting.
About the show
Each show features five to six hand-picked, experienced comedians and an occasional guest drop-in.
Please arrive at the theater by 7:45pm to check in with the box office. The bar opens at 7pm, and the show starts at 8pm. Last seating is at 8:20pm.
The theater has a full bar with no drink minimum. Come early for craft drinks and great seats!

No, there is no drink minimum.
What if I'm late?
This is a live show, and we want everyone to have a great time. As a courtesy to the performers and audience, we will not seat those who arrive after 8:20pm. If you are unable to make it by this time, please let us know. We would be happy to transfer your tickets to a future date.
Is there parking available?
There is no parking at the theater, but there are many public parking garages close by. See your options on Parkopedia.
If the event is sold out, will you have tickets at the door?
We often sell out, so please buy your tickets in advance. If the event is sold out online, we will not have any extra tickets to sell at the door. In that case, please get tickets to the next show!
If I can't make it to the show anymore, will the fees be refunded?
Unfortunately, Eventbrite does not refund any fees, so only the base ticket price is refunded. However, we're happy to transfer your tickets to a future show of your choice instead. Just email us at info@cttcomedy.com let us know that you can no longer make it and want to transfer your tickets. Once you've decided on a date that works better for you, email us again at least 48 hours in advance of the show, and we'll confirm your tickets.
