"Daylight Saving Time" is when the clocks are set forward during the summer months so that darkness happens later in the day (As opposed to "Standard Time", when they are set back in the fall). You may have heard the old saying “Spring Forward and Fall Back”. Well this year our clocks will be springing forward on March 12, 2023 in California, and you should use the opportunity to spring forward as well!
Springing forward is a positive thing to do. Focus on the beautiful Spring weather we can all look forward to. The budding trees and the beautiful flowers we can expect to enjoy. The abundant garden of fresh vegetables. The wildflowers that will be magnificent this year because of all the rain we have had in the Golden State. Thinking positively about almost anything can bring sunshine into your life.
With a positive attitude you can get serious about what you need to do. You can position yourself for better opportunities. You can make the changes that will confirm you are a great candidate for employment and achieve the goals you set forth for yourself. You are ready to bloom!
Spring is the perfect opportunity to look for work, as the days are getting longer and many companies are getting busier.
Springing forward questions to ask yourself:
Who is hiring and how can I get my foot in the door?
What can I do to make myself the number one candidate for the job I want?
Why would someone want to hire me and what do I bring to the table?
How should I present myself to prospective employers?
Who, What, Why, How - these are a great place to start to get yourself ready to spring forward.
